Look, Ma, no sleep!
Four down, one to go...
I have been awake since nine o'clock yesterday morning. The whole world seems to be cheerful to me today. Even though it is raining. And thundering. And it is December.
I promised myself that I would never wait until the last minute to write papers like I did last year (wrote two papers the day they were due - yikes). But I did it again anyway. It's not the writing that takes so darn long. It's crunching the data into comprehensible, statistically significant pieces of proof of things that you truly don't care about. Well, at least, I never really cared about the effect of propranolol on the hemolysis of red blood cells before. I can't really say that I care about the effects of pH on wheat germ acid phosphatase's ability to bind its substrate, either.
Don't get me wrong, they're very important. I just wish that I hadn't waited so long to discover how I felt about them personally, as in the day they were due. But looky, I'm still awake! Yay! Now I can go study organic chemistry for tomorrow's final exam.
::eh heh::
And I owe several people email - sorry! I'll be sure to get to you soon!

08:05 p.m.
just popping in...
...because I'm still very busy with school work. ::cries:: I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving if you're into that sort of thing ::grins::. Mine was excellent - seventeen of us present, making for good food and conversation. It's not every day I get to have a discussion with my cousin and his girlfriend about science vs philosophy. Of course, it was probably unfair with she and I being biology majors and my cousin a philosophy major. ::laughs:: I love my family. ^__^
Did anyone else get a chance to see the meteors last weekend? It was bothering me that I didn't get a chance to post about when it was going to occur; it really was spectacular and I hate to think that people might've missed it just because they didn't know about it... But, there's alway's next year (just not as great, so sorry).
Anyway, I'm disappearing again: presentation tomorrow, exams and reports to do this week. Three weeks left in the semester.... yikes. Take care, everyone. ^_^ Let's see how long this forced silence will last this time around...

Rammstein over caffeine
It's been a while once again, hasn't it? Anyway, the university was having problems with the internet for a while, hence the lack of updates. But you know what? It's kind of a good thing - I haven't been checking my mail twenty times a day and thereby wasting a good chunk of my time.
My grandmother is still in ICU but is slowly getting better. We're hoping she'll be able to get a regular room at the hospital soon. (^_^)
Rachael, I'm going to have to take a raincheck for the rpg; with the work that I'm getting from professors among other things, my free time is going to be reduced to those times during which I sleep. (^_^;;) I do hope you guys post the story on the blog or someplace where we can read it!
So, yeah, that pretty much means no more internet for me for a while. I have midterms next week and the following week along with too many projects/papers and mini-assignments to count. That, and entomology club is finally starting up again....
Anyway, I hope everyone has a nice next-few-months. ::grins:: And, of course, all the time following that, too.

11:20 p.m.
I'm listening to Moxy Fruvous in an effort to take my mind off the fact that my grandmother is in ICU. ;_; I can't concentrate on anything. I hate becoming preoccupied with death, but everytime I read something, I'm reminded of it in some way.
For god's sake, if you smoke, quit. If not for yourself, then do it for your friends and family.

Archived, yes indeedy. I ought to get in the habit of doing that monthly just to be consistent...
Rachael, you were right about that quote; "Empire Records" was one of my roommate's favorite movies. (^__^)
Got myself a cold from someone...wish I could give it back. lol I'm one of those kids who hardly ever gets sick, so when I finally do get hit with something, I can hardly concentrate on anything at all. I still count myself fortunate, though: I've never gotten the flu yet after twenty years. (^_^;;)
Randomness, randomness...oh! It's fall break so I'm home... maybe I'll be able to get some school stuff done without being distracted by...well, school. ::grins:: But first [!] I need to check the mls for fics.... (^_^)
