Thursday, August 9, 2001 04:41 p.m. ^__^
We got to leave the office at 2:30 pm today because of the excessive heat and in order to "conserve energy". I fail to see how shutting down the government buildings will allow the state to conserve energy.
I mean, we all just went home and turned our air conditioners on, anyway. :P
* The heat index here about a half an hour ago was 110 degrees Fahrenheit. ::whew:: *
Tuesday, July 31, 2001 10:15 p.m. I am a GAP-BRIDGER.
Friday, July 27, 2001 10:35 p.m. Wow, it's been a long time, hasn't it? Two weeks, I believe. The break really helped, I think. I still feel burned out using the computer at work, but it's not quite as bad as it had been.
Renny's home, thank goodness. He spent three days in the hospital with IVs and loud noises. The poor boy was jumpy as all get out when he came home. I still haven't been out to visit my grandmother yet due to other family emergencies, but that's neither here nor there.
Nothing really blog-worthy has happened of late; as it is, I've been online for an hour and really ought to be getting off now. ::grin:: I'm taking my hide out-of-doors to get some fresh air. Ciao!
Friday, July 13, 2001 12:43 p.m. Nifty, it's Friday the thirteenth.
I'm going to be taking a week or so off from using the computer; I guess I'm a bit burned out since having to use one constantly at work. It's time to give my eyes a rest. :^P
I was supposed to go visit my grandmother and great-great aunt and uncle this weekend with my family, but one of our cats is very sick right now and we thought it best to stay home to make sure he gets better. The vet wasn't sure what was wrong with him; he's been vomitting something fierce and generally acting very un-Renny like. ;_; Here's hoping that he gets better soon.
I suppose I'll be online sometime in the near future, but for now, take it easy, everyone. ^_^
Friday, July 6, 2001 09:39 a.m. Here are two very interesting sites to see if you've ever had an interest in learning all about.... seahorses! ^_^

Tuesday, July 3, 2001 07:24 p.m. Well, I started a new job today with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. ^__^ Very nice - 35 hours, four days a week - three-day weekends...::grin:: I have to say that the set up is better than working over night unloading trucks. Not that I really minded that job; in fact, I think it rather grew on me. Or rather, the people did. I met some really nice and interesting people working the night shift. And really, I was getting great exercise, too. ^_~ I'll miss that part of it, I think.
I've never had an office-type job before, so this will definitely be good experience in some form or another. :D Now if only I could get used to sleeping at night again instead of during the day.... O_O (^_~)
The bureau that I'm working in is that of Safe Drinking Water. Should you be afraid? Maybe you should be. >:D
