Bleh. I just can't seem to shake these darn headaches for good. I was thankful that I was headache-free for about two hours this evening, but it's back. Of course. ::sigh:: Just so long as it doesn't reach migraine levels as it did last night, I suppose. ::laughs:: I should probably have my head examined.

Although, I'm a bit afraid of what they might find, especially if it were to turn out the way my mother's head exam ended up - diagnosed with a (thankfully) benign brain tumor. Yeesh, it's still worrisome when I think of it (although it doesn't seem to bother her any). And, deep down, I hope it's not genetic... ^^;

I wish ... something exciting would happen.

Nothing unpleasant or dangerous, of course, just ... exciting.

Ho-hum. ::yawns:: Well, I suppose I should get back to work... (u_u)

The bleepity-bleep freshmen get my room next year. (>_<) I am not a happy camper. Someone please explain to me how it is fair that, after years of letting upper classmen have actual seniority in picking their rooms based on credits earned, freshmen now have priority over us in housing? I'll have 64 credits by the end of this semester. I worked hard for every one of those credits. I've lived in this room for almost four semesters now.

Worst of all, my plants have done wonderfully here. I'm afraid what a move will do to them. (;_;)

Though I suppose it may all work out in the end since Millersville is planning on putting three freshmen to a two-person dorm room, just as they did last year. Perhaps justice will be served after all. >:D

Over spring break my parents got me a new matress for my bed (the old one having been over forty years old...o_o;;). I think I experienced a small piece of what heaven can be like the night after I got it. ::sigh::

Unfortunately, I'm back at school now - where the bed is sunken in and lumpy. I think I was once asked as part of a classroom discussion whether or not I would grasp the opportunity to experience perfect bliss for a very short period of time if the opportunity ever arose. I don't think I had an answer to that at the time, but now I think that I might.

Ignorance may be bliss for a while, but it's good to grasp your opportunities. :^D

Hmm....interesting. I hadn't planned on taking any surveys in my guestbook. I frankly don't really care who people's favorite bands are. I wonder whose survey it really is...? I suppose that's what I get for signing up with another free service. ::shrugs::

There are two little words that will make every college student happy: spring break. ^_^

And, hand-in-hand with those two words are these: sleeping in. ::grin::

Yesterday I woke up at ten o'clock thinking that I was late for one of my literature classes. Then I had a good look around and realized that I was in my room 100 miles away from university.

And I laughed and laughed. (^_~)

I....strongly dislike dichotomous keys... (>_<)

To all the people that I owe email to, I'm really sorry! Please, just a couple more days...spring break is almost here....I...just...need...to get through...two more...days...!

I think that I'm beginning to despise chemistry. I was in the chem lab from nine am until one pm yesterday trying to get my experiment to work correctly (even though I think I screwed it up beyond repair... -_-). Don't get me wrong, my professor is a really super guy and everything.

I mean, it's not his fault that chemistry is so darn mind boggling. :^D

OMG!

I went out to two different streams today with the entomology club. We had a fun time catching things in nets for several hours and then we stopped up by a lookout point to see the view. But then - then! On the way back to campus, we saw a BALD EAGLE!! It was absolutely breathtaking.

Man, that made my whole day.

Aw, man, it's late. But I was blog surfing the members' recent posts archives and came across maim. I was just cracking up like mad reading the conversations these guys have had. I guess that kind of goes back to the stress thing I was talking about earlier: humor is just another way of combatting stress. To the guys at maim, thank you for brightening up my night. It probably added a few minutes to my life, you know? A sort-of reverse cigarette effect. ^_~

There are limits to what people can take. For some, the threshold is much more quickly reached than for others. Some people stress out over the smallest, most petty things. Others keep everything which bothers and annoys them inside until the floodgates burst forth in a torrent of emotion. Perhaps the catharsis helps them. Or perhaps not.

I know that when I am extremely stressed out that I become sleepier more often. I think that maybe I find unconsciousness to be a good escape from the stressors of daily existence. That, or I'll let myself become totally absorbed in a single activity (such as sketching), effectively blocking everything else out.

What do you do when you just can't take it anymore?

I sometimes wonder about how much I would most likely accomplish in my life if I never had a computer.

Then I quickly shove the thought away and continue with whatever procrastinating, computer-related activity I was engaging in. =^_^=

06:37 p.m.

I caught a rumor today that starting next semester, no juniors or seniors will be allowed to live on campus due to over crowding problems. o_o

I guess this means I better start looking around for other schools since I can't afford a car or rent for an apartment. Also, paying commuter tuition only would drastically reduce the little amount of financial aid that my family receives to send my brother and I to school, causing either one or the both of us to no longer be able to attend a regular university. While I have nothing against attending a community college, the commuting time needed to go to the one nearest to where I live would greatly decrease the time in which I need to complete my work and do other things.

::shrugs:: All I can say is that I really do hope that this is just a rumor, but until I find out for sure, I know that it's going to be bugging me....

We're, uh, without water right now.... o_o If we need to use the bathroom anywhere on campus, only some of the Houses, one of the dining halls, and the Student Memorial Center have running water.

I sure am glad I showered at night. ^_^;;

06:06 p.m.

Maaan, what a nice day it was today! All that fresh air has made me sleepy, though. But in a really good way. ^_^

Entomology club is looking really awesome right now; we're already setting a date to go aquatics collecting on a Saturday. Sounds like fun! ^_^

I only wish that I still didn't have these stupid gen ed classes to go through (except for child & adolescent psych. It's a pretty cool class). I'd so much rather spend my time working on fun stuff than be sitting around and reading some of the things we've been reading. Not that the writing's bad or anything, I'd just rather go about it in my own time and way (that is, not in a =class=). But, I took the courses, so I'm stuck with them now.

Really, though, is there anyone out there who wouldn't rather spend their time out in a stream collecting macro inverts? (=^_~=)

You know you've been on the computer too long when....

....you suddenly look up to see that your entire dorm room has grown pitch black except for the feeble glow of light from your monitor due to the setting of the sun. ^_^;;

Oh, and I suppose I forgot to mention that I actually got off my butt and joined a club? Yep, that's right, I went and joined MU's entomology club. ::eg:: Um, if you don't know what entomology is, it's the study of insects. =^_^= Heehee, ever eat a mealworm before? No? They're yummy. >:D
